I love being able to work and give back to my community. I was born in Radford, Virginia, where I grew up playing basketball. Basketball took me to Gardner Webb University, and throughout my studies I knew I wanted to do something related to medicine. With support and encouragement from my parents, I found dentistry allowed me to establish connections with patients, solve unique problems, and positively change people’s lives. Dentistry has played a huge role in my family, as my sister ended up marrying my dental school lab partner!
I studied Chemistry at Gardner Webb after earning an academic and basketball scholarship. After that I went to the Medical College of Virginia, where I met my husband who is a facial surgeon. After graduation, I was able to practice in the Lynchburg area and have been fortunate to stay in my home state. I’ve continued my dedication to dentistry by continuing my education at Gordon Christensen courses and multiple dental implant programs.
Outside of the office I enjoy spending time with my family. I have three boys, and the oldest is a VCU Ram. When we have a chance to get away, we escape to the lake and waterski.
I stay active in a number of organizations, but I’m proudly on the board of trustees for my Alma Mater Gardner Webb. Additionally, my family and I attend Timberlake United Methodist Church and are active in a Life Group there.
