Amanda - Registered Dental Hygienist
When asked about what is the best thing about her job, Amanda said, “I enjoy talking to people. I especially feel accomplished when I can make people with previous negative memories of dentistry comfortable and happy to be receiving care.” In other words, her #1 goal is to give you every reason to smile while she cleans and polishes your teeth.
Amanda is originally from Lynchburg, and she received her hygiene training from Virginia Community College, graduating in 2010. She is married with two children, and when not at the office, she likes to spend time with her family and friends and travel whenever she can (in fact, she has already been to Disney World more than 25 times!).
Chloe - Registered Dental Hygienist
Chloe is a dedicated Registered Dental Hygienist who thrives on serving and connecting with others, ensuring every patient feels confident in their smile. She earned her associate's degree from Central Virginia Community College and furthered her expertise with a Dental Hygiene associate's degree from Virginia Western Community College. Chloe holds advanced certifications in nitrous oxide, local anesthesia, and laser-assisted periodontal therapy.
Hailing from Big Island, VA, she enjoys hiking, traveling, running, reading, and going to concerts. Chloe cherishes time spent with her parents, two sisters and younger brother, and her favorite hike was Sleeping Giant in Kauai, Hawaii!
Holly - Registered Dental Hygienist
Holly joined our Hygienist team after completing her education at Old Dominion University, following the beginning of her education at Virginia Western Community College. Holly has been in the dental field for 4 years and wanted to continue to pursue her passion for patients by being able to educate them about their oral hygiene and how it impacts their overall health. She is certified in local anesthesia, nitrous oxide sedation & laser assisted periodontal therapy.
Some of Holly’s favorite hobbies outside of the dental office include traveling, hot yoga, watching live music and attending comedy shows. Of all the activities she enjoys in her free time, spending time with her sister and two sweet nephews in North Carolina is at the top of the list.
Janet - Registered Dental Hygienist
Janet is a caring Registered Dental Hygienist with 37 years of dedication to the field. She is passionate about educating patients and providing top-notch care while working with a fantastic team of like-minded dental professionals. Janet graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University and holds an advanced certification in local anesthesia.
Originally from Scottsburg, VA, Janet has been married for 36 years and has three children. Outside of dentistry, she enjoys health and wellness activities, gardening, traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends. An interesting fact about Janet is that she is learning to play the banjo!
Kindsay - Registered Dental Hygienist
Kindsay is a fantastic Dental Hygenist who has over 5 years in dentistry. She’s originally from Forest (Brookville High School) and she graduated from Virginia Western Community College. Kinday’s favorite part of her job is sharing her love for dentistry with everyone she meets. She enjoys educating patients on how to meet their needs and likes connecting with them on a personal level.
If Kindsay’s not with a patient, she may be out on Smith Mountain Lake with her husband and four children. They also enjoy annual trips to Myrtle Beach. Kindsay and her family began volunteering with organizations such as Hope Of Life International which has taken them internationally to places like Guatamala and Haiti. We appreciate her dedication to others!
Shannon – Registered Dental Hygienist
Shannon has over 30 years of experience in dentistry and has been a valued member of our team for the past two years. She holds a BS from Nova Southeastern in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and completed her dental training at Sunny Hudson Valley in Troy, New York. Today, she holds certifications in local anesthesia and nitrous oxide.
Originally from Walnut Creek, CA, Shannon has a vibrant family life with five children and three grandchildren. When she’s not caring for her patients, she loves spending time with her family, staying fit, and exploring new places. As a military kid and wife, Shannon has moved 33 times but has happily called Lynchburg home for nearly 20 years.
Taylor - Registered Dental Hygienist
Taylor is a passionate Registered Dental Hygienist dedicated to making great connections with patients and helping them feel comfortable at the dentist. She is a strong advocate for the connection between oral health and systemic health. Taylor earned her degree from Western Virginia Community College and holds advanced certifications in local anesthesia, nitrous oxide, sedation, and laser-assisted periodontal therapy.
Originally from Forest, VA, Taylor enjoys traveling, indoor cycling classes, reading, Pilates, and yoga. She is currently working on becoming a cycling instructor! Taylor cherishes time spent with her parents, older brother, and childhood dog.
Cindy – Registered Dental Hygienist
Cindy is a member of our dental hygiene team with 37 years of experience in dentistry. She graduated from VA Western Community College and hails from Peterstown, West Virginia. Cindy loves working with a great dental team, seeing the rewards of good oral health, and making friends along the way. She is married to her high school sweetheart of 35 years, has two daughters, and is expecting grandbabies soon. Outside of dentistry, Cindy enjoys boating at Smith Mountain Lake, spending time with her horses and dog Bonnie, traveling to historical locations, and listening to 80s music.
Brittany – Front Desk
Brittany serves as one of our Front Desk team members, where her passion for interacting with people and advocating for patients truly shines. She holds certifications in Dental Assisting, X-Rays, CPR, and OSHA, obtained from Danville Community College and Sunrise School of Dental Assisting.
Hailing from Danville VA, Brittany is engaged and a proud parent to four children. Along with spending time with their three dogs, outside of work, she enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, reading, and crocheting.
Juli – Front Desk
Juli is one of the friendly faces at our Front Desk, bringing 24 years of dentistry experience to her role. She is also certified in HIPAA, CPR, and OSHA. Originally from Des Moines, Iowa, she is married with two children and two grandchildren. Juli loves working with great people and enjoys visiting the beach, baking, and painting with acrylics.
Kerri – Front Desk
Kerri is a welcoming presence at the Front Desk, bringing 17 years of dentistry experience to her role. She loves helping people and meeting new faces every day. A graduate of the University of Phoenix, Kerri hails from Gladys, VA. She is married with two kids, two dogs, and a delightful flock of chickens.
Outside of work, Kerri enjoys reading, color by numbers, and spending quality time with her family. She has also traveled to Paris and London as a teenager, sparking a love for adventure.
Jenna – Certified Dental Assistant / Front Desk Reception
Jenna joined our office with a few years of experience in dental assisting. She is originally from Bedford, VA and studied Criminal Justice at Liberty University. She really enjoys the team here at Crossroads Family Dentistry, and credits her coworkers and doctors as her favorite part of the job.
Outside of work, Jenna enjoys spending her time with her husband and two dogs. Together, they hike, cook and spend time at the lake, where Jenna enjoys wake surfing.
Diane – Certified Dental Assistant
Diane brings over 40 years of experience to our practice, but she is constantly learning. Recently, she’s learned that she really enjoys painting. In our practice, she loves seeing patient’s smiles emerge.
Born in Saline, MI, she grew up in Tucson, AZ and studied at the Arizona College of Medical and Dental Assisting. However, she’s made Lynchburg her home after living here for 33 years. As a dental assistant, continuing education is important to her, and she’s been a certified CDA for 20 years. Our patients are in great hands with Diane.
Outside of the office, Diane enjoys family time with her children and grandkids. Diane also sings in her church’s choir and expresses her worship through liturgical dance. She loves to give back with her time, whether volunteering at foodbanks, or going on medical and dental mission trips. Her volunteering efforts have taken her as far as Jamaica, or kept her close to home here in Central VA.
Donna-Blakely – Dental Assistant
Donna-Blakely is a dedicated Dental Assistant who loves working with the best doctors and coworkers. She studied at Central Virginia Community College and completed the Accelerated Academy Dental Assisting Program.
Hailing from Forest, VA, Donna-Blakely is the oldest child in a family of five. Outside of dentistry, she enjoys cooking and baking, especially gluten-free recipes. Donna-Blakely's adventurous spirit drives her to travel and seek new experiences!
Alex – Dental Assistant
Alex is a dedicated Dental Assistant who brings a passion for helping patients improve their oral health. A graduate of the University of Lynchburg with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, Alex combines a strong academic background with hands-on expertise.
Hailing from Lynchburg, VA, Alex loves the collaborative spirit of working with a great team. Outside of dentistry, Alex enjoys traveling to new places, cooking, hiking, playing board games, and spending quality time with friends and family.
Leah – Dental Assistant
Leah is a committed Dental Assistant who loves helping patients achieve beautiful smiles and enjoys working with her amazing coworkers. She graduated from Central Virginia Community College and is originally from Lynchburg, VA. Outside of her dental career, Leah has a passion for traveling and has been on more than 10 cruises. She also enjoys practicing yoga and is currently learning how to play golf with her fiancé.
